Hello! We are Brent and Tish Johnson, (and Pepper) we have been full-time in our Class A, Maggy, for almost 5 years now. In the past few years, we decided a change was needed. Our kids are all grown and out living their own lives, now it was our turn! I am sure a lot of you can relate. We sold our house (to a very nice couple from CO, who have since become close friends) and moved into our Class A. The adventure began! First trip to see a friend in NY. We visited a little town named Old Forge in the Adirondack Mountains. If you have never been- put it on the list! A small town on a huge lake series. The next stop was our family reunion! We were ecstatic! Tish loves Plum Island - it’s her happy place and I was able to meet a lot more family for the first time. Then it was to upper Michigan to see two sets of Aunts and Uncles and siblings! There is so much peace and quiet on Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. We plan to return to do more exploring. Over the past five years, we have been to most of the East Coast states- what a way to see our country!
As with most folks, repairs were difficult to get completed and if so, it was weeks or months until it was completed. In a search for help we discovered YouTube (not that we recommend following all the advice for repairs, and remodeling ideas from them without really investigating those making the videos) but what we did find was a school in Athens, TX. This school teaches RV owners how to take care of their own RV’s. So excited we signed up for the first class, made camping reservations, and then decided what if we could help others. We bought our first RV in August 2017, not knowing the first thing about an RV. We knew we like the floor model but other than that NOTHING! If we had known about RV inspection we would have done that, live and learn!
Now we are back in our home state of Virginia, ready to help others with their RV’s until our next adventure calls.
I am an NRVIA Certified RV Inspector and RVTAA Certified RV Mobile Technician. I have generator repair education.
I am a retired Naval Nuclear Operator and Technician; I served 35 years total as Active Duty and as a Civil Servant. Attention to detail, ownership, responsibility, highly trained workforce, and (most importantly) integrity were the pillars of my trade. You can take the man out of the Navy, but you can't take the Navy out of the man. I will bring all these traits with me as your inspector or service technician. I can perform Premier Inspections, Essential Inspections, and Fluid Analysis on your current or future rig. I cannot stress strongly enough on why everyone needs an outside (unbiased) opinion on the current condition of the unit. American's do not buy a house without an inspection; an RV should not be any different. I work on all appliances in the RV space, roofs, slides, stabilizers, electrical, and water leaks.
